In the hands of a writer...

You'll never die in the hands of a writer.
Her fingers will trace the stubble over your cheek,
Wander the planes of your skin,
Memorise and evoke poetry from the smallest of things...

You'll never die in the hands of a writer.
Her eyes roam over your face,
Your every expression noted and stored away,
For stories to spun of strong, gentle grace...

You'll never die in the hands of a writer.
Her pain will write many deaths of loves,
Painful, harsh and beautiful
Till she abandons you like dying star...

You'll never die in the hands of a writer.
Even through the death and birth,
Whatever beauty she ever beheld
In you, stays immortalised along side the hurt,

As you transform into magnificent art
Like a stormy sun and a hot, wet rain,
Something rare, harsh and precious,
You'll never die in the hands of a writer.

Golden words

They told me once the golden words,
'Sorry' and 'thank you' and 'please'
To use in every situation deemed.
Never imagined in this life
The meanings are as arbitary as we please.

Sorry does not fix a broken heart,
Please does not get you the needed break,
Thank you laced with sarcasm is a bomb,
With its sharpnel piercing every organ
And not just the heart.

Why do I write about you?

Why do I write about you?
Because I want you to exist as I see you :
Beautiful, broken, sharp edged, honest, clear -
That is my selfishness.

Why do I write about you?
Because I want you to live in my world :
Quiet, grey, sharp, bright, confused -
This is my curiosity.

Why do I write about you?
To kill you so that you will cease haunting my dreams -
Because I'm sleepless,
Lonely,
              Forbidden,
                                    Locked,
A book with blank pages,
               A grey blackboard,
                                     A broken pen spilling ink.

Because,
I'm bleeding at the sight of you
And killing you in pages
Seems to be
The only way I can hide.

Those empty words.

Every twist and turn of this road,
It devastates me. In every corner
I hope for something better,
Yet all that is found is travesty.
I thought the words meant
Something, that it had true
Meaning, yet I am proved to
Again and again, that these
Are empty words and could
Never mean a thing to me.
