Slumber

In midst of sleep,
In a beautiful dream,
Where wildflowers grew
And stars shone true,

I walked barefoot on sand
Water lapping at my feet,
Sounds of laughter floating by,
I crossed some rocks to be at your side,

You had these red wings
And a strong light from within,
You held me briefly within strong arms,
Gave me respite from the darkness around,

Fear still overwhelmed me
I was afraid,
That the beauty you now show me
I might lose someday,

So slowly it dawned on me,
To grow my own wings ,
To learn to fly out on a limb,
To share with you the glorious sky.

True Love

True love never fades,
It always finds its way -
So even if now,
We're thrown asunder,
If it was meant to be,
Our paths will join one another ;
And stay as one ,
And stay entwined,
Till time stops,
Or time ends our lines.

Like Me

You see her
With her copper brown eyes
Where my dull grey ones
To you, holds no light

Her shining black hair
Waves over her shoulders
Pale cream skin and
As if she has inner light

I can't begin to compare
Me, with my mousy brown hair
Lanky scarred skin
And imperfections within

But she won't be to you
All what I can give you
She won't see you
Like I do

She won't know
The gentleness of your smile
She won't know
The trembling in your eyes

She won't know
Your many faces
She won't know
You like me.

She won't know
You like me.

Soulmate

Melodies drift through your mind
Some sweetness you hear in that line
Reminds you of elsewhere
Some place to be

Reminds you of someone
Some one to meet
One long search for that one mate
Part your soul and heaven ingrained

Search goes long, search goes deep
False tempters in your way creep
To thwart your essence's call
That call so sweet

Angels must've set the beat
That one who is your soulmate, your best friend
The real deal till the very end.

Sins

Tired, exhausted and terrified,
Lying on dusty floors and not knowing why,
The feeling of barrenness sweeps like a storm,
Somewhat close to Noah's Deluge;

Fear is the stink of rotting flesh,
No more stars where spirits rest,
Fear is the cross Man always takes,
The fear of what-ifs and what-may-be's;

For sins I made, they made me make -
My flesh lays bare on a cross,
Spirit stays strong with every nail,
While body screams death to choose;

Final the resting, the ascend above,
The battle of demons, I bear new scars,
My body is Earth's and spirit is Dust's,
But truth is I'm on the floor of rust.

Oblivion

Its oblivion now -
Imagining a life
Barren without your laughter,
Lacking your smile.

Its unrecognizable, utter pain,
Thinking I might lose you again,
To someone else or just lose you,
I can't imagine, won't imagine that way.

This heart of mine would bleed,
Fantasize an eternity of dark spells,
Where you gave light that if lost,
I might never find again.

Such is this love that it's scaring me;
The lengths I find I might go to
To keep you with me.
I love you so! I cant, wont let go,
Else my heart will be torn away
And darkness will remain -
Doomed to never feel
The warmth of your light again.

Skeletons In The Closet

There is a past in chains
A past best left untouched
But moving forward sometimes calls back
To rid of the skeletons in the closet.

These skeletons are dark
Rotting and stale
Their bones creak tales
That only I know well

They run endless yarns
With their clattering jaws
Some half rumored
And others foretold

Not to be believed but
There are some
Most are half truths
Maybe more halved than some

This past is past
But clings to my skin
Leaving a bittersweet smell
Or burning stink of flesh

That I wash and wash
And Lady Macbeth knows
The feel of fresh blood
That won't come off

The pain that ages and kills
These skeletons in the closet
That haunt and attack
Coming stealthily in the dark

They whisper and shout
The final warnings and the close
Of a life beautiful.

Once Upon A Date

What is this I see?
A pair of brown eyes twinkling at me.
A slow red creeps over his face,
As our hands touch when we exchange

Words, notes, movies and songs,
Whatever into our mind comes along,
Walking side by side under the warm sun,
Thinking of how much this is fun.

A slight blush overcame me,
When his hand touched mine quite accidentaly,
He pulled away and so did I,
That was just the first date for him and I.

I sneaked looks at his darling face,
Smiling and laughing at our endless pace,
I looked down as we walked along,
Safe in our bubble of happiness, and for long

I wished to stay by him.
But fate and time were so grim,
So we parted with small little byes,
I hoped my eyes told what my words had to hide.

And home I reached, quite safe
Bursting with happiness at our escapade,
For that one morning had the charm of one,
That one morning scored the perfect ten.
