Holding

Hold me.
Just hold me and let me be.

Let me be the the little girl I forgot
Way back when the 2nd millennium began.

Let me be the awkward teenager
Whose curiosity was worse than a cat.

Let me be the young woman who values work
As though it is her way to salvation.

Let me be your princess and your queen
And everything else you need, in love.

But hold me.
And I will hold you.

Let you be the little boy in grubby shorts
Out in the sun instead of in class.

Let you be the awkward teenager who couldn't
Care less about the world than it did for him.

Let you be the young man wandering and wondering
In search of what he is to be and become.

Let you be my prince and my king when it is time
Because there are no questions, not in love.

And I'll hold you
So tell me this if

We let ourselves be anyone we want then
Could we still be lovers to each other
while being strangers to ourselves?

----
My eyes stray nowhere else.
The lion's golden brown eyes devoured the soul of a patient bull.

Abandoned

Don't give her hope
If it's to take it away,
Don't put the pretty carpet under her
If it's only to pull away,
Never ever tell her you love her
If it's only a lie,
And don't promise to take her away
If you were planning on saying goodbye.

The Soldier and the Whore

The silent shivers down my spine
As your hands entwine with mine,
The gentle whispers of your breath
As I hold mine as though it's death,
The soft caresses that thrill me deep
As I let my hands explore your keep,
Lie down soldier, let me please you,
I'm only a whore, not a body tuned
Tuned like yours to respond to every touch,
Harden again against my fingers' brush,
I'm soft, malleable and I welcome you
To a night of soft abandon, as the submissive of two.

Are you truly a whore?
Have you slept like this before?
Under the moon hidden ashamed
To show herself in your beauty unclaimed
As of yet by time who has been sweet
And who makes you think that you're just meat.

Oh, but I am my dear soldier,
I am the submissive and the sober,
I am the whore you chose tonight.

Yet you seem too precious,
That I cannot just abandon sans conscious,
I believe you will have a name
Share that if I'm not yours to blame.

My name is that of a death Rose,
My name is that of determined Moss,
My name is that of the moon, la Lune,
I even hold some music like a Tune,
Yet in the end, I'm just another face,
One to use, but not feeling disgrace,
Because you have taken my city,
I'm your spoils of the night,
I do not need your pity,
Do not try to put me in your light.

I may be a soldier, but heartless I'm not,
Do not share your bed, if willingly, it is not.

Can you not sense the response you awaken?
The primal sense of wanting to be taken,
The sweat mixed with the musk of a man,
Believe me this is not the fire, it is only the pan.

Let me make you unsay that.

Let me see you try.

My dear,

My soldier,

Tonight you will be mine.

Fake

Truth of fact is a lie.
Everything is a lie
And I am a fake.
A representation
Of what you wish to see,
A representation
Of what you can be,
A representation
Of what you now are.
A mere mirror reflecting -
A soul is caught inside.
It ensures you punish,
Punish it and yourself -
Because when you get up and go,
Then I will get up and go.
I won't be the one waiting
Or the one looking back,
I won't be any of that.
I'll just be a shattered mirror
And the lie of love -
For how can a reflection love
Anyone other than itself?

Blood Runs Cold In My Veins

How long will I hide?
How far will running take me?
Seems I am never free from lies,
Lies that make and undo me.
Lies of love, trust and more,
Why tell me all this now?
More tears fall, more emotions lost.
This can not be what you want.
Me forcing myself to say,
Everything is alright and it's ok.

Royal Blood

In midst of battle when the war-horns blow,
I still believe my prince will come home,
In loud thunder, a roaring applause,
A victory and a new king for all ;

My prince is charming, dark and tall,
He is the one that I wait for,
Behind the walls of his palace keep,
As a woman in love with nothing her own ;

I bring no jewels, no money, no lands,
Just the clothes on my back and a burnt hand,
But my prince he will return to me
He promised, together we shall be -

Once the dawn of victory comes,
And this land is once again home.

Is This...

Is this the only thing you know?
To give and say it's for you
And reclaim with the stamp that it's yours?
Is this the only thing you know?
To give hope and keep making promises
Which you are never sure of, never keep?
Is this the only thing I know of?
Your promises, evasions and disappearances
Along with an empty shell of a home -
Something which I wish I never knew.
