So Easily In Love

So easily in love,
So easily carried away,
So soft like a dove
And so easily led astray -

His eyes, are brown
And flecked with black
Lines and golden dust,
Are where you never lack.

His face, is scarred
With lines of many battles
And tempers gone wrong,
Is where you seek solace.

His arms, are tough
And strong and warm
And always protective,
Circle and hold you near.

His shoulders, are muscular,
Toned and also warm
And stay steady and firm,
Are where your hands and head rest.

So easily in love -
Few soft words in a rough voice,
A scratched voice recovering
From the harsh love of cigarettes.

So easily carried away -
A damsel in distress and
You found your dark knight even if
He isn't exactly what you imagined.

So soft like a dove -
Your heart that melts
At every touch, every gesture,
And every expression of love.

And so easily led astray -
Convinced into compliance and now
What will be left for you?
You don't know.

(Bitter experience left with heartache,
Strong values believing love for fools,
Patience and understanding that is kind,
Or being in love and out of your mind.)
