Push (That Last Depressed Note)

Why must I tell you what you won't understand?
Why bother to explain if all is nothing that you can?
So much innocence lost in your soul,
Life is somewhere I'm trying to bring hope.
All the darkness is not from home,
It's from me, my dark thoughts, my own;
Don't try to understand when I never ask -
Why bother try when you never can?
I break,I destroy, the sadism grows,
On the brink of insanity where creativity grows -
I wait for a push over the edge to lose all held dear;
Wait! I have precious little to lose!
Some people who care, who fear.

But push me, push so I may fall -
Fall from this nest and hit the ground!
Broken wings will mend someday
To test the flight into a dark sky again.

Where Am I?

Words can pour out like a storm,
A flood with no ends,
But little do you know the truth
From which it stems;

The lies, the betrayals, the blankness,
The paper bare and the ink running dry,
There are words and words
But no real truths, just lies.

Blank to a point where everything is white,
Blank to a point all you want is the black,
Comfort of dark wings light upon your shoulder,
The raven's call for death becomes louder;

There is no process,
Just empty white,
All that is light is not good,
Without process there is no life;

I think therefore I am -
So with no stable thought
With no brough to catch hold on
In this infinite torrent of hateful numbness:

Where am I?
You know me best.
Tell me where I am.
