The one you tell your lover,
Cut, edit, pasted and repasted.

Truth has strange eyes.
The one you tell the passer-by,
Uncut, no edit, no paste, it just is.

Truth has strange smells.
The one you tell no one, but she knows
She slept with you naked on the floor.

Truth has strange shapes.
The one you tell your best friend,
The orgy you want to drink and forget.

Truth has strange faces.
You see all of it each day.
Yet what you claim as truth your way,

Isn't the same for you everyday.

Confident lies

It's all about confidence -
Even if your look doesn't match it,
Even if your body can't handle it,
It's all about confidence.

It's just an act dear -
You put a smile on your face,
(Just so)
You walk with purposeful steps,
(Imagine a pseudo ramp)
You talk with a serious note,
(Let's try middle C)
Your eyes will not be the mirror
Of your craven, pathetic little soul
(Hard as a piece of carbon under pressure),
It's all just an act my dear.

It's all about confidence -
How much do you believe your own lie?
It's all about confidence -
How much of the lie is the truth?

How much will you strut without a stutter?
It's all about confidence -
Even if your look doesn't match it,
Even if your body can't handle it,

Your world might be in pieces,
You might be in a dark abyss,
The trick is not to let them know
For them to think you're the predator.

Not the prey, not the foe.
Not a victim, no, not at all.

It's all about confidence.

My world is...

My world is where fantasy and fiction collide,
My dreams come alive,
And I see through tinted windows,
The sunlight burning up the stream.
Where others see warm water
I tend to see the cold beneath,
And in the darkness, in the cold,
I find the heat chilling to my bones.
The real doesn't exist but the lives do,
And my characters are more real to me -
More Real than me or you.
