I wear a crown
Of shining black thorns,
And revel in a gown
Of black bejewelled nights,
And in my hand, a sceptre bright
Holding the crescent moon alight -
I say, Love me. If you dare.
Or push me away. See if I care.
One hug will not suffice
This thirst you see in my eyes,
One push might kill all
But the one I hold aloft.
And this crescent moon will shine,
From the jaded sceptre I hold -
Lives of sorrow and regret,
For love is not to be told.

The Blackness
Listless
What is it that I find in your eyes?
A longing for some paradise,
A longing for something far, far away,
Or is it a longing that we stay?
I don't know now.
I don't know how.
But the depth in your eyes -
It sears my soul, brands and takes it own.
One piece you left,
No attitude, no heat.
One piece you left,
It is that I keep.
One piece of you,
No pretense, no chitin.
One piece of you,
Mine, no hiding.
